Handmade in Europe

Verda shoes are handcrafted in Porto, Portugal by skilled shoemakers in a committed workshop respecting all European labor standards. Porto is a region renowned across the world for its century shoemaking expertise, passed from generation to generation.

Fairly made in Portugal

We work hand in hand with certified workshops. We chose Portugal for its relative proximity to us and to our component suppliers in Europe so as to to minimize our environmental footprint. Handmade with care by skilled artisans, each VERDA creation showcases our ethos of quality, responsibility, and European craftsmanship. Our shoes are not just fashion statements; they are statements of conscience, designed in Paris with a vision for a greener future.

Excellent standards

A shoe can be made from as many vegan and sustainable materials as you want, but if it's not durable then whats the point ? All of our workshops are highly skilled partners specialising in complex techniques. One of our partner workshops is also a certified producer of CE shoes.

Our vegan and sustainable materials are made in Europe including :

Grape "leather" - Grape waste from Italian vineyards, made in Italy

Wooden heels - Pear tree wood from sustainable French forests, made in Italy

Outsoles - Made from discarded rubber outsole materials or renewable bio sources, made in Portugal

Insoles - Recycled insoles, made in Portugal

Buckles - Biodegradable plastic, made in Italy

Zips - Recycled polyester tape, made in Italy
